I have just found out that my good friend Jak has a terrible, terrible disease.

She is deathly allergic to the colour pink.

She can not wear pretty pink clothes, smell the pretty pink flowers, poke a pig’s nose or drive around in Barbie’s convertible.

Perhaps if the word was spread, a cure…

I am Jak. I have suffered with Pinktollerance since I was a young girl. At first we thought it was just the fabric blend, then maybe it was just my skin tone. Now at the age of 19 i’v found out the truth about Pinktollerance. Someone who suffers from pinktollerance may be young, old, male or female. Studies have shown more men are likely to suffer from this ailment than woman. But it’s not unusual for women, mostly in their teenage years to suffer as well. 

As of today I have little problems avoiding this color. I wear mostly black, I hang out with men, but ever so often I have a run in with a happy mother or young girl pretending to be a princess. That’s when it starts. I  get hives, rashes, bleeding sores, but the worst is when my eyes bleed. Generally this happens the moment I see something pink. My eyes turn red with blood and the bleeding doesn’t stop for another three hours. It’s such a simple solution, be considerate. Don’t use, wear, cook, or draw pink.
